Accountability

Our work is grounded in strong ethical principles. We strive to act with integrity, respect, and responsibility in everything we do – from the way we manage funds to how we engage with local partners and communities.

Our accountability and transparency framework is designed to safeguard the dignity and rights of those we serve, ensure compliance with international standards, and strengthen trust with partners, donors, and communities.

The following policies and standards provide the foundation for this commitment. They guide us in building a culture of respect, responsibility, and ethical practice across all of Danmission’s engagements:

Policies and guidelines

Our Anti-Corruption policy commits Danmission to zero tolerance for corruption, fraud, bribery, or misuse of resources, ensuring transparency and fairness in all operations. Read it here.

We protect people’s rights and wellbeing, ensuring that all interactions are conducted with the highest level of care and responsibility. Read our Safeguarding Policy here and our Child Protection Policy here.

We evidence Value for Money through our Results Framework and Outcome Harvesting, linking costs to verified outcomes and equitable reach, with regular learning loops to improve delivery. Read our Value for Money policy.

Danmission is verified against the international standard for humanitarian work, the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS). The CHS sets out nine commitments aimed at ensuring that organisations working with vulnerable, marginalised, and crisis-affected people and communities uphold the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and ethical practice in their work.
