Our Global Work

Faith-rooted action for Peace & Democracy and for Nature & Climate

Faith & Dialogue

Faith and dialogue are at the core of our identity and our work in the world and in Denmark – our distinctive approach. Faith inspires hope and action, while dialogue builds trust and strengthens civic space across religious and cultural divides.

Peace & Democracy

We promote peaceful and just coexistence across ethnic, cultural, and religious divides. The goal is for people to be able to live in societies in which conflicts are resolved peacefully, their rights and dignity are safeguarded, and they can participate actively within democratic processes.

Nature & Climate

We support access to natural resources for those who need them most, help protect and steward nature and biodiversity, and address conflicts over natural resources and climate.

Where we work

Danmission works across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Denmark, with regional offices in Tanzania, Lebanon and Cambodia.

Our main programmes are implemented in close collaboration with local partners in Tanzania, Kenya, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Denmark. We also support smaller-scale initiatives through volunteers and networks in Bangladesh, India, Madagascar, and Pakistan.

Our Main Institutional Supporters

Danmission is a strategic partner to Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is supported by the European Commission.

Through these partnerships, we implement long-term, donor-funded programmes that promote peace, human rights, and sustainability across East Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Denmark. Working through coalitions built on local trust, we bring together faith-based and secular organisations, community groups and institutions to shape inclusive and sustainable solutions.
